DVD Star Box
I have been working on the DVD star box project helping with branding and the web system that controls the system. DVD Star Box is a DVD rental machine which is has transaction synced with the main control system which uses an Oracle database.
I did the initial design of the logo, website and the design of the machine itself - the website design has slightly been ruined by my co-workers but my design concept and intent can still be seen.
I have made a web interface system using Java, the Stripes Framework and Hibernate with a little bit of JQuery. Although mostly a marketing tool at this time we hope to go live in Japan at some point soon. The website is slow through internet connections in Europe because of international routing. But here in Japan it is fine.
