SEO and Marketing Websites
Submitted by Richard on Wed, 03/31/2010 - 12:29I often get asked how can I get to the top in Google casually.
If it was that easy I am sure I would be super rich by now! Even though I pretty much knew the concepts of web marketing. I thought it was about time to get serious about it.
First I purchased a book called Inbound Marketing - Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs (The New Rules of Social Media). A real good book to get you into the subject, maybe I should get my clients to read it. But it is really just a tool themselves to promote their own products (Hotspot, Website Grader, Blog Grader) I guess their advice is working for them as they are top of search for most inbound marketing related stuff.
Apart from the obvious web tag optimization. It is mostly talking about being active on the web and social media. Which at the end of the day is what is important. Are you an active member of the web community. Are you leaving the trail of what you and your business are about.
Remarkable Content
It also talks about leaving 'remarkable content'. What content will you be able to contribute to your area or field that will draw people to you. What can you do better than the competition. Your need to be able to present this in your online content.
I was searching for blogs about the Japanese car market for my client B-Spex Trading. A blog is not just to spam people with keywords. It is to engage with the subject of what you are blogging about, interacting with those with similar blogs. Making opinions open that encourage online relationship.
